Why did you apply for a summer job at Holmen?
Through my studies at the Forest Management School, Holmen has appeared in many contexts and seemed like a company with strong forward momentum and sound values, which made me eager to work here and see if that matched reality.
How would you describe your time at Holmen?
It has been both enjoyable and rewarding! Holmen stands out in the way that you become closely involved in the entire production chain and gain insight into what the work results in. Combined with friendly and welcoming colleagues, this makes the job highly rewarding!
What was the most interesting or educational aspect of your job? What will you take with you?
I find the interaction between the different parts of the timber supply chain fascinating. There are so many people in various roles working together toward a common goal—and succeeding. Being part of that chain and seeing from the inside how it works has been incredibly valuable for my development!
What was the best part of your summer job at Holmen?
The job has definitely been educational and valuable for me in terms of experience, but the best part has been all the laughter shared with colleagues along the way!
What expectations did you have, and was there anything that surprised you?
I knew we would somehow get an insight into the overall operations, but the extent of this has been greater than I expected.
