Lars Strömberg new Manager of Environmental Affairs at Holmen

Lars Strömberg, Ph.D., has been appointed Manager of Environmental Affairs
at the Holmen Group. Dr Strömberg will take up his Stockholm-based
appointment on May 2 when he will replace Bengt Hultman, the present
Environmental Director, who will retire on June 1.

Lars Strömberg is joining Holmen from AssiDomän, where he has been Manager
of Environmental Affairs since 1995. Prior to this, Dr Strömberg worked at
the Swedish Forest Industries Technical Research Institute and ÅF-IPK AB.

Environmental Affairs is part of Holmen's Group Technology of which Sven
Wird is Senior Vice President.
