The knowledge Forests are land that has been selected for the purpose of exploring, gather and pass on knowledge about the forest. Each forest is selected due to specific biological conditions and has a theme based on it. In Likstammen, the theme is "water, forestry and biodiversity".
The inauguration, which was first intended to take place on site in the forest, was carried out as a digital live broadcast. Invited to follow the broadcast were politicians responsible for forestry and agriculture issues, representatives from the Swedish Forest Agency, the County Administrative Board, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and interest groups such as the Swedish Forest Industries Federation and others.
