EcoVadis is an independent global sustainability rating agency that annually performs 25 000 evaluations of companies around the world. In 2020 the Iggesund Mill reached 77 points out of 100 available in their scoring system. That result gave the mill platinum level as top 1 % of all companies assessed by EcoVadis at the time of completion.
When summarizing the total results of the 2020 assessments EcoVadis found that the Iggesund Mill came out top of its class. Therefore, EcoVadis is giving Holmen Iggesund and the Iggesund Mill the Sustainability Leadership Award 2021 as a recognition of companies leading the charge in sustainability performance and innovation around the globe.

In addition to the Iggesund Mill, the paperboard mill in Workington as well as the paper mills Braviken and Hallsta have all been awarded Ecovadis Platinum, which means that all Holmen's mills belong to the absolute top tier of all assessed companies.
