Our office in Amsterdam is a hub for (inside) sales with an informal, international and challenging work environment. Today, we are about 60 employees and we come from different parts of the world. In total we speak more than 15 different languages. The office is located in Amsterdam Southeast, with excellent connections (5 min. walk from the train, metro and bus station) and biking paths.
Your future challenge
As a full-time Customer Service employee you will play an important part in our customer experience. Our Customer Service department is divided into geographic teams. You will work for our DACH team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage daily customer enquiries, order processing & invoicing, sample and trial orders
- Follow up on lead-time quotations, pricing quotations trials & sample deliveries
- Provide internal sales support
- Handle requests for call-offs in order to enable delivery, stock level maintenance and timely ordering of new stock
- Provide input to the weekly KPI team meetings in relation to credit, stock, admin claims, overdues
- Reviewing your accounts once per month with the external sales responsible to discuss the customers, market, and KPI`s to drive things forward
- Contribute to the analysis and following up on customer payments
- Work with other departments (Sales, Technical Service, Production, Transport Planning) to formulate potential solutions to customer questions
To succeed in this role
Our ideal candidate always puts the customer first and maintains excellent service standards even in difficult situations. We appreciate your input and creativity when it comes to problem solving. Knowledge about paperboard is a pre but not required.
Furthermore you:
- Speak and write German at a (near) native level and English at a professional level.
- Have a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in relevant work experience.
- Are service minded with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Are attentive to details and can organize your work well
- Can adapt to changing circumstances and deal with pressure and setbacks in a constructive way
- Are a team player who plays an active part in creating positive energy and atmosphere
- Have relevant customer work experience
- Have basic Excel skills and worked with order systems (is a plus)
- Have an interest in inside sales
- Are currently based in The Netherlands
- The position is office based
