Our large land holdings offer many opportunities. The availability of cheap fossil-free electricity makes northern Sweden attractive for the establishment of data centers and electricity-intensive industries. In parts of our land holdings that are close to densely populated areas, there is potential for both industrial establishments and housing.

Holmen's operations are based on wood as a raw material. Building with wood has several advantages that are increasingly in demand as climate considerations in construction grow: wood products are energy-efficient, and the carbon stored in growing trees remains stored in buildings for a long time.
To the extent we can, we therefore work to ensure that the properties we develop on our land are built using wood.
