Our large land holdings mean many opportunities. The availability of cheap fossil-free electricity makes northern Sweden attractive for the establishment of data centers and electricity-intensive industries. For parts of our land holdings that are close to densely populated areas, there is potential for both industrial establishments and housing.

Holmen's operations are based on the forest raw material wood. Building in wood has several advantages that are sought after as climate considerations in construction increase: the production of wood products is energy-efficient and the carbon dioxide stored in the growing trees continues to be stored in buildings for a long time.
To the extent we can, we therefore work to ensure that the properties we develop on our land are built in wood.
