Traditional media is still the most trusted sources regarding information and news according to a recent study performed by Triton Digital.

The study with over 24 000 respondents finds that consumer trust in traditional media is much higher than in digital media. The most trusted medium for information and news is television at 45%, followed by newspapers (20%) and then radio. Only 12.5% of the respondents rated an online news source as the most trusted. 

When it comes to product research and consumers looking for advice and brand recommendations, internet takes the lead with 61.1% responding that it was the top source influencing their brand buying decision. But this does not mean that traditional media is out of the picture, 64% of the respondents were influenced to buy a product or service after having seen it advertised.
