We often hear that paper is more destructive to the environment than other media. There are several truths and untruths regarding how the paper industry affects the environment.

Forests are being ravaged in order to make paper, true or false?

We’ve never done this and we never will. The pulpwood that is made into paper comes from thinning, treetops and sawmill chips. Thinning plays a natural role in responsible forest management, enabling the forest to grow more rapidly and store carbon dioxide more efficiently. The wood is also certified and can be traced all the way back to its origin, which is crucial if we are to check that the wood is being harvested in the correct manner.
