Holmen has been taking steps to increase the proportion of women in the company for many years. The forest industry is traditionally a rather masculine workplace, but we are convinced that organisations work best when there is a good balance between women and men.
Our efforts have produced results, with the proportion of women managers doubling in ten years, for example. We also have many more women in our management teams, but we're not stopping there. We hope that more women will apply to work for us in the future, so that we can increase the number of female operators in particular and, in the long term, get more women into first line management.
