Holmen Iggesund Paperboard is a Swedish company and a member of the Holmen Group. The Workington Mill produces premium paperboard under the brand Incada. Our paperboard is an integral part of the shopping experience for our clients’ customers. Since 2013 we have powered the mill almost entirely by fossil fuel free energy. Your future challenge

We are seeking an enthusiastic person with a strong technical mindset and the ability to tackle process challenges in practical manner. The candidate will ideally possess experience from with the pulp & paper industry, or a similar manufacturing discipline. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Pulpmill operating team, ensuring Health & Safety, quality and production goals are achieved.  To implement, monitor and evaluate process improvement initiatives, in line with the Pulpmill objectives.

Reporting to the Pulpmill Manager, the Pulpmill Engineer will: 

  • Proactively identify and develop process improvement activities in the Pulpmill area;
  • Lead problem-solving and trouble-shooting activities in the Pulpmill production area;
  • Contribute to the area’s Health and Safety and Environmental improvements;
  • Support the Pulpmill team in the coordination of maintenance shuts and Risk Assessments;
  • Where required, provide mentoring for Production Co-ordinators, Shift Managers and operating teams .

The successful Pulpmill Production Engineer will possess:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Experience within a similar Manufacturing or Production Process;
  • Science or Engineering degree, or equivalent technical knowledge with industry experience;
  • A proactive approach to improvement activities and project work.
