Iggesund Paperboard is a Swedish company and a member of the Holmen Group. The Workington Mill produces premium paperboard under the brand Incada. Our paperboard is an integral part of the shopping experience for our clients’ customers. Since 2013 we have powered the mill almost entirely by fossil fuel free energy. Our integrated pulp and paperboard mill is located to the west of the beautiful Lake District in the north of England.
Your future challenge
We are seeking a passionate Electrical Engineering Graduate to join our enthusiastic team. Here at Iggesund we are committed to continuous improvement – in our products, processes and people. It is this focus on development that keeps us ahead of the game and our graduates play a key part in this.
A large plant such as ours requires a range of engineering disciplines, from Electrical and Automation Engineers to Mechanical and Civil Engineers. As a graduate engineer you will gain experience and knowledge from the highly skilled engineers on site, as well as contributing to development or capital projects as part of a team. In line with your Continued Professional Development you may begin working towards chartered status with bodies such as IET.
This position will operate closely with production colleagues in order to develop a joined-up approach to increasing uptime, reducing cost and ensuring sustainability.
To apply for this role, you should possess:
- a degree in Electrical Engineering
- knowledge of maintenance and project engineering preferred
- future leadership skills and
- be a capable self-starter, passionate about proactive engineering practices
Preferably you will possess knowledge of the pulp and paper process and mill capabilities, although this isn’t essential.
