We are now looking for a new member to our Sales & Marketing team based in Norrköping, Sweden, but with many international colleagues and connections.

Holmen Paper's commercial head office is located in modern premises in central Norrköping, overlooking the Motala Ström, and only a few minutes’ walk from the train station. From here we help our customers to optimize their paper choice. All in all, we are around 60 employees at the head office, working with business development, market analysis, sales and customer service, production & logistics planning and administration. It’s a tight team of colleagues, with a very professional, committed and friendly mindset. The desire to do a good job and contribute to a greener future is clear.


Your future challenge

In your role as Head of Commercial Operations you are responsible for Holmen Paper's worldwide business for the graphical segment (paper for end-use areas in retail & magazine), to develop the business by in-depth market knowledge and optimize short and long term profitability. All this, while keeping a strong focus on remaining the market’s most sustainable company so that Holmen Paper can outperform the market and competitors. You are responsible for strategical, tactical and operational planning for the segment.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Proactively develop and drive Holmen Paper’s graphical business to be market leader by strategic planning and tactical business decisions
  • Be part of the Sales & Marketing management team to lead Holmen Paper’s strategic and commercial work
  • Lead and coach our international sales staff in commercial decisions for the graphical segment to optimize profitability within the segment
  • Lead the segment team to identify marketing and product development needs and optimize profitability on paper machines within the segment
  • Extensive internal cooperation with sales, management, production planning, the mills and with customers and partners


To succeed in this role

You are a business-driven person with a developed holistic view, being able to identify market and customer needs on an aggregated level. You are committed to reaching goals through cooperation with others and you have excellent people skills and a natural way of raising commitment in a team. You have good understanding of marketing as well as the financial factors and you actively implement solutions to develop the business further.  

We believe that you have an in-depth commercial experience from B2B or industrial sales and/or sales management. Proactive leadership and efficient decision-making as well as strong collaborative and negotiation skills will make you to succeed in the role. As the arena is international, your English is excellent as well as your understanding and insights of cultural aspects. The position requires regular travelling, mainly in Europe. You have a university degree in business or engineering or equivalent experience.
