Iggesund Mill is one of the world's most advanced, fully integrated pulp and cardboard factories. The cardboard machines are hundreds of meters long, technically advanced and work around the clock, year round, to produce tons of paperboard. If you've ever been to a tax-free shop at an international airport, then you've probably seen packaging made from the high-quality paperboard - under the name Invercote - manufactured in Iggesund.
The mill has traditions that stretch all the way back to 1685. It is characterized by pride and commitment, and today around 800 people work together to make the raw material together into world-class renewable packaging.
Holmen is one of the biggest forest owners in Sweden and the growing forest is the basis of our business. We are part of the ecocycle from seedling to plank, where the raw material is refined into everything from wood for climate-smart buildings to renewable packaging, magazines and books.
Together with Iggesund's sawmill, Iggesund's mill creates a biocombine with smart environmental solutions for the future. The mill supplies the sawmill with steam which is used to dry the timber and in return receives raw material in the form of wood chips to make pulp or energy.
