Solid Bleached Board

Solid Bleached Board

Invercote is a multi-layered product (solid bleached board, SBB), entirely based on fresh fibres. Specific fibre compositions are used for the various layers in the construction to optimise performance. The outer layers are dominated by hardwood fibres to promote smoothness and printability. The middle layers consist of softwood fibres for strength and flexibility.

Product description

Invercote Duo expands creative possibilities due to its excellent printability and colour reproduction. The standard version is made through back-to-back pasting of triple-coated Invercote, which enables two identical printing surfaces. Alternative versions are available, with front-to-back or front-to-front pasting, to achieve special properties or appearances.

Duo-products can also be made by Holmen’s formable solid bleached board Inverform, or by combining different paperboard grades and grammages. Lamination of up to three or four layers of paperboard is also possible.

Due to its strength, toughness, and thickness, Duo is ideal for packaging wines and spirits, gift cards, and different types of rigid exclusive packs and displays.

All Duo-products can be improved with various surface treatments to add desired barrier functions and visual effects – just talk to your local sales representative.
