My name is Magnus Hall and I am Holmen’s CEO. I’m pleased that you’re visiting our website and hope that you find what you’re look ing for.

No doubt you also read newspapers and magazines every day? Perhaps directories help you now and then to find phone numbers, addresses and maps. I assume that pretty much every day you open a paperboard packet containing food, chocolate, perfume or medicine, and that the floors, furniture or window frames at home and in your office are made of wood.

In other words, it’s easy to come into contact with Holmen’s products every day. We produce paper to reproduce words and pictures and paperboard for packaging and printed matter. Our product range also includes sawn timber for homes and other purposes.

Holmen is recognised for its sound profitability and healthy return. Our financial position is strong and will remain so.

If you consider where we manufacture our products, Holmen is very much a Swedish company. But at the same time it’s also a typically European business, since our customers in Europe account for some 90 % of the turnover.

All of Holmen’s products are based on wood. It’s either harvested in our own forests, which cover a million hectares, or it is bought from other forest-owners in Sweden or abroad. We also use recovered paper, an important raw material for our newsprint and directory paper in particular.

We take, on principle, a holistic approach to our entire business. We undertake to protect the environment, use raw materials and energy efficiently, respect ethical and social standards and promote sustainable development.
