Holmen’s Annual report 2011 including sustainability report provides detailed information about the Group’s financial performance and the conditions that defined its markets during the year. It also contains the corporate governance report and detailed information on the Board, senior management, auditors and Annual General Meeting. In addition, the annual report includes a description of sustainability work for 2011 along with key indicators for employees, production and the environment.

About the facts in the report
The facts presented in the annual report and here on the website are largely the same as those Holmen is required to report to the authorities by law.
Adaptation to GRI and the UN Global Compact
The object of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is to encourage companies and organisations to voluntarily describe their activities from an economic, environmental and social perspective.
Holmen’s method of reporting has been adapted to the GRI requirements and the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact. The Group’s GRI reporting follows version 3.1 and satisfies GRI reporting level A+, as also confirmed by auditors at KPMG. A complete GRI register and the auditors’ assurance report can be found here on the website.
Internal production
The information about Holmen’s sustainability work in the Annual report 2011 including sustainability report and on this website is compiled and produced within the Group. Holmen regards internal production as a way of developing sustainability efforts in the areas concerned. A special working group containing representatives of Holmen’s Group staffs is responsible for coordinating sustainability issues. This group is appointed by the Group’s CEO and is responsible for the sustainability information in both printed and digital form.
