Monolit is a choice example of top-quality sawn timber with vertical annual rings, which meets with widespread approval from the industry.
Applications: The special properties of this products, which are free of cracks and pith and have no splay knots, make it highly suitable for material manufacture which is subject to high standards of quality and appearance. Monolit-sawn redwood also offers a very interesting combination of knot-free sapwood and naturally impregnated heartwood – on the opposite sides of the same piece of wood. A high proportion of sound knots, together with the annual ring orientation, means that the product is also particularly good as a raw material for turned materials.
